Every time I see you my eyes forget to blink,

I can never have you,is all I think!

I notice only you in all the rush,

When your eyes meet mine, it makes me blush!

And then my mind scolds my heart for having such prohibited crush,

The fear of societal norms keep the voice of my dreams shush!

My heart is stupid and so am I,

It’s funny how even I dare to try!

Getting tired of people’s taunting,

Haunted by memories of the past so daunting!

Lifting the weight of my broken pride,

Searching for a dark corner to hide!

For few pains don’t wither away, even with time’s tide,

Behind the sparkling smile so wide,
